Easier (for teaching)

Since 2011, how do I do this work differently?  Both I and the cars have "improved", making things undeniably "easier":
  1. Incrementally understanding "what DVSA means" (for Standards Check)
  2. Freedom, therefore, to use more personality and less prescriptiveness
  3. Simpler words and phrases come naturally, from long repetition
  4. My expression is clearer (from teaching ESOL pupils), including use of silence
  5. I’m mentally more relaxed, needing less customised preparation
  6. Having 10-15 clients (not 20-30) allows comfy gaps, easier memory, less admin
  7. Knowing my own wants and needs (which are modest) has eased my attitude to a level (or high) income
  8. Developing a bespoke records system has made admin a joy
  9. This website enables me to brief students on common aspects
  10. I’ve discovered whose opinions to trust
  • Automatic gearbox (pupils are much less worried)  [2021-26]
  • Electric car (pupils, and I, enjoy the quiet and smooth ride, and chat/music)  [2021-26]
  • ADAS (helps me to teach, eases my own journeys)
  • Comfort (pre-heating, defrosting, sound system, air-con all make using the car more pleasant in all conditions)
  • Add-on hardware: dashcam (to send summaries to pupils and to report others' dangerous driving); reversing camera  [2021-26])
  • Connectivity (phone interface, for note-making, sharing ETA, avoiding traffic delays, ... even joining in Zoom meetings!)
  • ... but that latter "benefit" can also divert attention, = more risk
