Expert ... with cars?

I'm not really an expert.  I am an experienced amateur.

Like many people, I've learned lots of things by trying some and making mistakes as well as having successes.  This includes buying and driving about 20 different cars for myself and my family.

So, I'm more "old" than expert.  But I pay attention, have a good memory, and can make sense of probably the first big expense you may have had to face ... and deal with the necessary people.

If you think that experience would help you make your own choice about a car then I can discuss how to go about deciding if you should get a car, the options and costs involved, the things to watch out for, and willingly come with you to visit car dealers and specific vehicles (even if they're far way).  Some of my students have done this, both before passing their test as well as after it.

I would charge only for my time, at the usual rate.  It might cost you a few tens of pounds (or a hundred), but save you hundreds (or thousands).
