Priorities

On any piece of road, or at any junction, the safest way to behave is for cars already moving to continue moving (and at the same speed).  So, a vehicle ...

• ALREADY ON the road has priority ... over anyone not already using it;
• MOVING has priority ... over anyone waiting to move;
• using THEIR SIDE of the road has priority ... over you using it, if yours is blocked;
• continuing STRAIGHT or going LEFT has priority ... over cars turning right (unless road markings say different);
• coming FROM THE RIGHT at a roundabout has priority ... over newcomers (unless road markings say different);
• FACING FORWARD has priority to move forward ... over anyone reversing;
• which is MORE VULNERABLE has priority ... to be able to move out of the way;
• showing FLASHING BLUE LIGHTS has priority ... over everyone else.
