Animals

It's not just humans out there.  Not even just people in charge of pets or riding horses.  There's farm livestock and wild animals, birds and small living things.  What to do ?

Firstly, be alert.  No-one wants to kill or injure something alive.

Remember the "1-2-3" rule-of-thumb.  When passing something from which a person might emerge, leave 1 m.  If the person's on two wheels, leave 2 m.  If the person is a horse, leave 3 m.

​If you DO get surprised by an animal in your path, slow down safely and consider using your horn.

If it's busy around and the creature is SMALLER than you, keep going.  If it's LARGER, plan to move around safely or stop.
