Assessment of faults on a practical test takes account of at least these factors:

• Condition of road  (slippery?, solid?, holes?)
  
• Weather  (wind, rain, low sun)
  
• Visibility  (of yourself to others)
  
• Proximity  (closeness to/from others)
  
• Awareness  (of other road users)
  
• Preparedness  (to protect yourself/others)
  
• Your position  (along / aside the road)
