Distractions
Making your car go safely means "Eyes on the road, Hands on the wheel, Mind on the job". Anything else is distraction.
Having to navigate (an essential part of every journey) is a very common one. So are non-driving things around you in the car: music, chat, passengers, food, posters, pretty pedestrians, … Most can be kept in their place by will-power: is it better to unwrap that chocolate while moving, or wait till you're at the next red light ? (We're being realistic here: once you've noticed the craving you're likely to be distracted by it and crowded cities often lack places to pull in safely and legally). |
