Zoology
Unless you drive out of town and at dead of night, you're likely to have to understand a little about the other species around you on the road.
They're all human but not necessarily always "homo SAPIENS". When we're tired, threatened, hungry, squeezed in a tight spot, we don't behave the same mentally. And as in Animalia, we each have different physical bodies of different capabilities. (Plus, not all 'disabilities' are visible from outside the car). The road network is our 'animal kingdom'. It's a diverse biosphere ("bioplane") of cultural, dietary, and even 'tribal' getting-along-together. Because 'get along' we must, or that ecosystem shrivels. There should be no predators; no horsing around or bull-ying others out of our way. |
Unlike animals, we should be courteous so it's not just the fittest who survive. EVERYONE'S JOURNEY matters because we don't know when we'll need the specialisms of the people around us.
