Detail
Like walking towards someone holding a book, you don't try to read the fine detail on the road from far away.
Look for BIG THINGS first: in the pictures here, just the car. Then, when closer, its L-plate. Then the fact it has a bumper sticker. Then the green icon on that sticker. Then the words alongside. And finally, the small print describing who designed it. (Do the same with signs). That's the way with driving. Don't try to take in everything at once. Look "one layer at a time", each a few seconds thick as you read the road ahead. When you get closer, more detail will become clear. And you'll have time to respond to it. |
