Park-on-the-right
Sometimes, it's just not possible to pull up on the left of the road (the safest side). You might have to use the right side.
On a practical test, this will be on a lightly-trafficked road with good visibility. Once stopped, you'll be asked to "Reverse back a couple of car lengths, keeping reasonably close to the kerb". You'll then be invited to "Drive on" (that is, to rejoin traffic on the left). Usual criteria apply, including judgement of when to cross in front of any oncoming traffic. |
