Carer
If you're looking after others, learning could be tiring. Or stressful. You may have too little sleep, or be distracted by worry, or know others are relying on you.
But they're relying on you to keep them safe, so it's no less important to do it well. It will take however long it takes. Your experience of caring for someone else is very relevant to the correct attitude when you drive. Everyone else you encounter deserves your care, too. We're in this learning together. So don't be afraid to ask for my help, of the help of those you trust. It can come from the most unexpected places: sometimes completely unconnected to driving or any formal learning. And, without being selfish, you need to look after yourself. Because, without you, who would take care of the people YOU're responsible for? |
