Parallel park

This exercise on test shows you can park on the left when roadside space is limited.

See my photopage for the steps:
1.  Line up  (to start)
2.  Move back straight  (till rears of cars align)
3.  Steer  ("so your bum goes in the seat first")
Change your steering when you see each left door handle touch the kerb.  Use the sequence Left, Ahead, Right, Ahead (“LARA”).  Or count number of WHOLE TURNS of your wheel: –1,0,+1,0.  (Or even think "LRRL": Labour, LibDem, Tory)!  Whichever helps, keep parallax in mind.

Here’s a detailed video but showing ONLY the 45° method (= "steering 1-2-1").  And here's how to park in a tighter space.
