Bite
A driver wants their car to move easily, so it doesn't take much work (either by the engine or by her/him). So the wheels go round easily if your brakes aren't on.
But if you're on a slope and let the brakes off, the car may not start to move the way you want. It'll roll the way gravity forces it. To keep control, make the engine hold the car still when you release brakes. This is like eating a sloppy pizza. Your jaw (= engine) is ready to chew. But if your teeth (= clutch) don't first grip the food, gravity will make the pizza fall away (= move the opposite way from your mouth) when your hand lets go of it (= brakes off). |
