Circus
It’s a balancing act. Whether you’re a trapeze artist, driver, parent, or just alive. Whether you work on a tightrope or live day-to-day on one.
So how does this help to drive ? By reinforcing understanding with strong images, like a lion. By applying basic routines for safety, while being grown-up enough to know that even ”golden” rules need compromise. Two (or more) hazards spring up at once : how do you divide your attention ? How will you keep your car balanced, your head or your load ? When might the line shift between the purpose for your journey and your performance making it ? |
We use the word derogatorily, as in “media circus” or a distractingly showy jamboree with no real substance. Of course, “Circus” was also a primitive sort of roundabout, such as at Colmore in Birmingham or Piccadilly in London. All are true. So we should watch out for all aspects on the road.
