Position
Keep the car in the “normal position” (see photopage), except to [1] pass an obstruction; [2] overtake a slow vehicle; or [3] turn right. You might also need to avoid a lane [4] not going the way you want, or [5] for only certain vehicles.
Good driving means "always being in the right place at the right time". So move at a speed to suit what's around, never faster than you can stop in the distance you know is clear. This might mean at no speed at all (= stopped).
Your head has its own normal position unless you're looking into a blind spot. (But be mindful of parallax). You hands have theirs unless you're actively steering, or using ancillary controls. You have control over ONLY YOUR position and speed. So, know your boundaries.
