Food
“You eat with your eyes”, say the chefs. Eyes come first. Living creatures, like we humans, want to know if something’s nice or nasty while it’s still far away. In driving, too: the distant thing could become a danger to you.
So, let your eyes go round a corner before your hands do any steering. Check out everything around in case it’s a threat (things moving will be even more of a risk). Different foods have different textures, sounds, tastes. So, use more than just your sense of sight in the car. Hear the direction signals working/cancelling, feel for the handbrake switch without looking (just as you reach for cutlery or a napkin by touch). |
