Seek information, to help you navigate but also to notice features (or landmarks) along the way. Some will increase your risk while travelling: bends, hills, weather, other people.
So, go as slowly as gives you time to see all of that. How else can,you plan to keep going, SAFELY? Any spying like this requires you to identify what you see, to KNOW what you're seeing. Signs and markings use only a few colours and shapes, which helps. But identifying a side-road is harder. |
