As part of the UK government's advised stay-at-home regime, I've decided to stop teaching until further notice. I will of course retain on file any notes and credits for existing learners, and pick up where we left off. Don't worry, it's almost never the case that people fall backward in their learning after a break, even an extended one: that's the difference from book-learning. I will be in touch before too long with some suggestions for off-line learning via this site. Stay safe !
Here's a novel idea: instead of waiting for the dual-controls to become available for the new Peugeot 208 and THEN placing an order for an electric one, perhaps I should agree to buy the "GT Line" already in the showroom? That way, I can switch to electric as soon as I get my hands (feet) on a dual-brake pedal … I won't need a clutch, of course. I will ask the installer-man tomorrow. It may be as simple as him knowing that an existing dual brake will fit straightforwardly into the new car without drilling through the underfloor battery ! After 7 years, I've "earned" a relocation from bedroom to a separate room (my university daughter's) for the admin work I can't do on my smartphone—which isn't very much these days. Bye-bye Windows and hello (again) Mac. Both machines the same age (2008) but the Apple OS just so much more intuitive … like the iPad and iPhone, and CarPlay and Siri.
